MERRY CHRISTMAS!:

Patrick Joyce Tournament at Parish Center:

On October 2, 2009, 39 year old Patrick Joyce Jr., a 16 year veteran of the Yonkers Fire Department, heroically lost his life in the line of duty. Pat was born in the Riverdale neighborhood of the Bronx and lived in Eastchester, NY, with his wife, Tara, and their daughters, Isabella, 15, and Charlotte, 14.   Throughout his life, he touched so many through his kindness and commitment to public service.

Pat played basketball throughout his life, initially at St. Margaret’s in Riverdale and then at Fordham Prep (Class of 1988).  Pat remained an active player by regularly participating in the men’s league at St. Joseph’s in Bronxville.

The Patrick Joyce Memorial Tournament is intended to keep Pat’s memory and his commitment to service in the forefront of the communities in which he lived and supported.

All monies raised at the tournament will be used to provide financial support to the worthy cause that Pat so greatly valued:  the Tree House - Bereavement Center of Westchester. The Tree House offers grief support specifically designed for children whose parent or sibling has died, as well as for their surviving parent or guardian.
